Some of the most noticeable fixes include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Audioconvert<\/strong>: Patched a caps negotiation regression when using a mix matrix\u2014something that might\u2019ve been tripping up certain audio workflows.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>AWS integrations<\/strong>: The awstranslate element now supports brevity mode, while awstranscriber2 lets users partition speaker outputs in transcriptions\u2014handy for clearer multi-speaker logs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Speech-to-text<\/strong>: The speechmatics plugin now exposes a mask-profanities property, giving devs more control over filtered outputs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>V4L2 &amp; VA encoders<\/strong>: Squashed a memory leak during dynamic resolution changes and tightened up VA encoder stability.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>WebRTC<\/strong>: Added a WHEP client signaller and introduced the whepclientsrc element, expanding streaming possibilities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Threadshare &amp; RTP<\/strong>: Multiple improvements to threadshare elements and rtpbin2, making real-time media handling more reliable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Apart from those, GStreamer 1.26.5 brings some smaller but important fixes\u2014Vulkan integration tweaks, GPU memory buffer support for overlays, and decodebin3\/uridecodebin3 crash patches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For more information, <a href=\"https:\/\/gstreamer.freedesktop.org\/news\/#2025-08-07T23:00:00Z\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">see the announcement<\/a>.
