When combined in a
switchkey
definition, the pair lets power users call up a tidy QuickSwitch menu that lists only the windows they’re interested in.

On top of that, v3.8.2 packs in several polish points:

Menus stay on-screen even when they spawn near a monitor’s edge.

Maximized windows now resize correctly when a panel or dock disappears and the work area suddenly expands.

_NET_WORKAREA edge cases are tamed. Whether a “do-not-cover” window closes or is simply dragged around, IceWM recalculates the available desktop real estate on the spot.

Lastly, in IceWM 3.8.2, icesh’s
-Zerminal
filter now works on the BSDs and other non-Linux flavors. Plus, desktop icons also follow the rules: change the work area, and every icon scoots into place instead of overlapping a panel.

For more information, see the changelog.

IceWM 3.8.2 window manager for X Window System adds a new “switchmenu” icesh action, improves window switching, and brings various bug fixes.

[7,5
5882,5561
post-180890","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-software","category-news","tag-icewm","tag-window-managers
["GET
