Tracks now maintain proper order upon export, and files consistently adopt the correct “.otio” extension, eliminating previous confusion.

Guides, essential tools for precise editing, also received important attention. Adjustments now correctly reflect when users change project profiles to match a clip profile from the bin.

Kdenlive 25.04.3 free & open-source video editor.

Another related fix ensures guide positions are automatically recalibrated after profile changes, further enhancing editing accuracy.

Usability improvements also include a default behavior adjustment: new clips now insert into the lowest available video track, rather than the top track.

Furthermore, a tweak to the transform tool now applies an offset to resize handles when the monitor rectangle is small, improving the ease of repositioning clips.

Refer to the release announcement for detailed information about all changes in Kdenlive 24.05.3.
