PeerTube mobile app 1.0 finally lets you sign in to an existing PeerTube account\u2014no longer are you limited to the device\u2011tied local profile. Better yet, you can link multiple PeerTube accounts and pick your favorite as the default.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From there, everything you expect\u2014subscriptions, playlists, viewing history, and more\u2014syncs neatly into the mobile interface, giving you live access to your personalized video ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moreover, the new app makes leaving feedback wherever you are easy. Whether you\u2019re thanking the chef behind that speculoos cake tutorial or suggesting a tweak to the sugar ratio, you can post\u2014or delete\u2014comments directly within the app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And if words aren\u2019t your thing, a quick thumbs up (or even a thumbs down, since PeerTube keeps things transparent) will let creators know how you feel in no time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to commenting, users can now manage channel subscriptions on the fly. One tap, and you\u2019re subscribed. Change your mind later? Unsubscribe just as easily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Likewise, playlist management sees a huge boost: assemble, edit, and delete playlists from your phone. Even better, any updates you make will automatically reflect on the web version when you log in on a computer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aside from these headline features, v1.0 includes several quality\u2011of\u2011life upgrades. Two\u2011factor authentication support adds an extra layer of security for logged\u2011in sessions. A clear\u2011all option helps you manage\u2014or erase\u2014your recently watched history. Plus, the update proudly showcases a brand\u2011new app icon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lastly, on the near\u2011term roadmap, you can expect: background playback, enhanced video recommendations, broader platform support, improved notifications, and even TV casting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
