Meet <strong>OpenWrt&#8217;s One\/AP-24.XY<\/strong> router board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\u00a0<strong>MediaTek MT7981B<\/strong> (Filogic 820) SoC is at the heart of the OpenWrt One, paired with the MediaTek MT7976C <strong>dual-band WiFi 6 chipset<\/strong>. It boasts:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>1 x 2.5Gbit WAN<\/strong> port and <strong>1 x 1Gbit LAN<\/strong> port for high-speed wired connections.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>1GB DDR4 RAM,<\/strong> ensuring smooth multitasking and efficient data handling.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>256 MiB NAND<\/strong> and <strong>16 MiB NOR<\/strong> storage, providing ample space for firmware and user data.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;\">An&nbsp;<strong>M.2 SSD slot<\/strong>&nbsp;allows users to expand storage further.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A <strong>USB 2.0 Type-A<\/strong> port for peripheral connectivity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, the board features <strong>dual-arm Cortex-A53 cores<\/strong> clocked at 1.3 GHz, ensuring processing tasks are handled swiftly. Including a <strong>battery holder for an internal clock<\/strong> means that time-sensitive applications can maintain accurate timekeeping even during power interruptions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To enhance reliability, the OpenWrt One integrates 16 MiB of protected storage as a system backup. Importantly, for every unit sold, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Software Freedom Conservancy (SFC), with the funds earmarked specifically for supporting OpenWrt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This initiative aims to provide a sustainable source of income for the project, helping to cover costs such as hosting and organizing OpenWrt conferences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Interested parties can purchase the OpenWrt One through Banana Pi&#8217;s distribution channels.
