SparkyLinux has always had a thing of being on time, like Debian and Ubuntu. They usually release 5 days after upstream’s release, which they did. I believe Debian also has this issue with their live isos, but I think that it is cause of Calamares and not distro’s fault. So there’s no point in waiting for it to fix. If you want disk encryption, then you can the live iso for 7.8 and upgrade.
