The speakers on this version are actually much better, I’m not sure if they are MacBook level but they are certainly louder then the previous generation!

Prior version’s speakers were terrible (tinny, low output, numerous reports of premature failure). Significant keyboard flex and squeak. Love to support Linux hardware even at a higher price but not at the expense of reliability .
