But they tend to be creative people that want to create, improving is not creating.

I have since used Mint and then switched to MX Linux in 2020. Now. both of these, Mint 21.x and MX Linux 23.x, have become buggy and unusable for me. Currently using MX 19.4 and 21.3 which are both mostly problem free. Also testing Fedora 38 which seems to be a much more professional distro with a huge forum membership compared to most other distros.

Linux and the entire software world has been in a development and quality malaise for years. Being a computer analyst both professionally and a home computer user since 1984, I don’t foresee any major improvements coming forward anytime soon.

No one makes you use Ubuntu, yet many people use and love it. I run Ubuntu Mate. I am not a fan of snaps, but at least for now they are easy to avoid.
